Engineered Taj Mahal quartz price: how to compare a jumbo slab quote

Compare the real variables behind a factory quotation instead of relying on an unsupported price-per-square-metre number.

Searches for taj mahal quartz price often mix retail countertop installation with wholesale slab supply. Those are different quotations. For a factory-direct order, the useful comparison is the specification behind the quote: format, thickness, finish, batch, quantity and delivery terms.

Our engineered Taj Mahal quartz slabs are produced for importers, fabricators and project buyers. The following guide explains what to send a manufacturer so that two quotes can be compared on the same basis. For natural stone, see the natural Taj Mahal quartzite product page.

What determines an engineered Taj Mahal quartz quotation?

Jumbo or super jumbo: compare usable yield, not only size

A jumbo slab is approximately 3200 × 1600 mm. A super jumbo slab is approximately 3500 × 2000 mm. The larger format can be useful for wide islands and commercial tops because it may reduce seams, but the right choice depends on the cutting drawings and the lifting equipment available at the destination.

Ask for the exact format, thickness and finish on the quotation. Do not compare a super jumbo 3cm quote with a jumbo 2cm quote and call the difference a material price change; it includes several specification changes.

How thickness affects project cost

Engineered Taj Mahal quartz is listed in both 2cm and 3cm. A 2cm slab is lighter and is often selected for vanities, wall applications or projects using a suitable substrate. A 3cm slab provides a full-thickness edge and is commonly specified for kitchen countertops and islands. The fabrication detail should be agreed with the installer before ordering.

For a mixed residential or commercial order, it is possible to plan both thicknesses in one container. Our 2cm vs 3cm slab guide explains the handling, edge and freight trade-offs.

Batch approval is part of price control

Engineered quartz is selected when a project needs a more controlled colour and repeatable format. Even so, the purchasing team should approve the intended colour, vein direction, finish and sample before production. Request current photos or video of the actual available batch, then keep the approved reference with the purchase order.

This is different from a natural quartzite order, where the exact bundle and natural variation are central to the approval. The slab catalogue helps buyers identify the available product family before requesting a current quotation.

Questions to include in a factory quote request

  • Do you need engineered quartz, natural quartzite, or a mixed container?
  • Which format: jumbo or super jumbo?
  • Which thickness: 2cm or 3cm?
  • Which finish: polished, honed or matte?
  • How many slabs or square metres are needed, and can colours or sizes be mixed?
  • Which destination port and trade term should be quoted?
